The moon has no light. It only reflects the light of the sun. God wants us to reflect His light in the world around us. How? Get your “but” out of the way, and put God’s “but” in.
Jacob’s brothers sold him; but God…meant it for good.
Daniel was fed to the lions; but God…
Mary and Martha thought Lazarus was dead; but…
You think, “I know He heals; but He may not choose to heal me”? Flip it. “I may be fighting something; but it’s God’s will that I prosper and be in health, even as my soul prospers” (3 John 2). You think, “I know He says He’ll provide all my need by Christ Jesus; but I don’t know how”? Flip it. “I don’t see how I’m going to pay the bills; but God says He’ll provide all my need. And He’s not a man that He would lie” (Philippians 4:19; Numbers 23:19)
You’re afraid something might happen? Some things are scary; but God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Embrace God’s “but.”
