Mary had a little Lamb. He was the Lamb of God. Other than that, what did she do? Not much per Scripture’s nod.

She lived about 40-45 years after giving birth to her first child. And what did she do after that? Nothing. Oh, she had some other kids. But the only other things she’s really known for are taking her Son to the synagogue and forgetting Him, and nagging Him into being a wine steward at a friend’s wedding. Big deal.

So, was Mary a failure? Would anyone say she didn’t accomplish anything with her life?

Absolutely not. Mary did all she was supposed to do. It may have only taken 9 months out of her 50+ years. But just because her contribution was short didn’t mean it was insignificant.

Don’t shortchange yourself. You may think your little bit of witness or encouragement isn’t a big deal. But God sees the end from the beginning. Just because you don’t see how far reaching your life is, doesn’t mean you haven’t already accomplished great things.
